CLUB CAR - OBC is Not Working Properly

Dealing with a charger that won't charge can be perplexing, but understanding the cause often simplifies the solution. Through troubleshooting with our customers, we have found a relatively common issue that has a fairly simple solution.

The Problem

The OBC (Onboard Computer) is no longer working properly and not allowing the charger to communicate with the batteries.

The OBC in a golf cart plays a crucial role in managing the charging cycle, ensuring that the batteries are charged correctly and efficiently. If the OBC in a golf cart is malfunctioning or bad, it will not allow charge from the receptacle to the batteries.

How To Fix

In order to keep the OBC from preventing charging, you will need to bypass the OBC by performing what we can an OBC Bypass.
